I do things a little differently.
Gone are the days where you stand and smile on three. I want you two to have so much fun at your session, or on your wedding day, that you sometimes even forget I'm there. Laughing and smiling until your cheeks hurt, so present in the moment that there's not a second of overthinking where your hands should go. That's the kind of experience I believe you deserve.
Hiring wedding vendors can feel very transactional, but I really do want to break that mold. I’m not just a vendor and you’re not just a client. We’re friends. And as cheesy as that may sound, it really is how I approach each and every wedding day because when my couples feel that comfortable around me and are truly able to be fully themselves, that is when we really get to create something magical together rather than just “getting the photos done”. I’ve been told plenty of times that couples are nervous that they’ll look so awkward in the photos or not know what to do with their hands the whole time, but then we get to the end of their session and they are raving about getting to do it all again on their wedding day. And I love that.
Your wedding day should be more than a curated timeline put together just simply to get the “best” photos. Because while yes, having beautiful wedding images is so important, I am also a firm believer that your wedding day should feel still, sweet, and intimate. Rather than rushing from one thing to the next for the sake of “staying on time”, I want you to be as present in each and every moment as you possibly can. I want you to hold your hug a little bit longer and really remember what your fiance’s wedding day cologne smelt like. I want you to remember the joy that filled your heart the first time you saw a wedding ring on your husband’s finger. I want you to remember how your day felt, because before you know it, you’ll be pulling away in your getaway car and it’ll all be over. So my main goal as your photographer is to create a space for you to be as confidently yourself, and as present, in your moments as possible.
Odds are, neither of you have ever planned a wedding before. Which means that you’re learning everything as you go and figuring out what you need to do from either TikTok or your Pinterest board. I’ve not only been a bride myself and gone through the entire planning process from start to finish, but I’ve also shot over 60 weddings at this point and have an uncanny amount of knowledge when it comes to the dos, the don’ts, areas where you can save some money, how to curate the best possible experience for your guests, etc. From our very first meeting, through the delivery of your final gallery, I really do want to be a resource for you to come to with any and all questions because I’m here to help.
In order to serve my clients in such a relational and meaningful way, I only take a limited number of weddings and sessions each year. My availability books up on a first-come, first-serve basis and although this means sometimes having to turn away couples that I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with, I really do believe that saying yes to everything and burning myself out creatively would do such a disservice to the people I get to work with.
You may not realize it now amidst planning what your centerpieces will look like, picking your dream wedding dress, deciding on a color palette, choosing your bridesmaids’ dresses, etc., but photography really is one of the only things from your wedding day that will truly last. Your flowers will wilt, the music will stop, and eventually even your own memories of the day will start to fade with time. The photos that you choose to invest in today, will be the photos that are passed down in your family for generations.
Within 48-72 hours after your wedding, you’ll receive a few previews to help get you even more excited for your final gallery. After a few weeks, you’ll receive your full wedding gallery via email for you to look back on for years and years to come!
I want to be a resource for you throughout the entire planning process so please do not hesitate to reach out with any and all questions. I’ll send over my vendor recommendations and a few other helpful resources, too!
The day you’ve been waiting for your entire life is finally here and I’ll be right alongside you the whole time, camera in hand, helping make sure that your day is as magical as possible.
Once you’ve decided that I’m the perfect fit for your wedding and have selected a package option, you’ll then electronically sign a contract and pay your deposit. Once both of those things are done, we’re official!
Go ahead and fill out my inquiry form so that I can get to know you both better & get a feel for your wedding day. Then, I'll send over all of my wedding package details for you to look over together.
We’ll hop on a complimentary 30-minute Zoom call so that we can all get to know each other better and so that I can fully grasp your dreams and vision for the day. I'll also answer any questions that you have!
"I knew from her previous work that I would fall in love with
the pictures she took but her personality and gentle demeanor
were such a gift during what could have been a stressful day!
From the first time I contacted her she was quick to respond,
and it was evident that she cared for me and my now husband.
Her portfolio and website are so authentic to who she is as a
person, I just feel so lucky that we were connected to her
before our wedding day."
"Britt was absolutely amazing on my husband and I’s wedding day. Our day was a little more hectic than we planned with a pop-up down pour happening just after we said our vows… and let me tell you Britt was my saving grace!! She carefully thought out another way we could re-arrange events so we could fit in all the pictures I wanted— I really don’t know what I would’ve done without her there. Britt takes so much care in the couples she photographs, she is so responsive and makes sure she knows what all you want to capture on your big day."
